Got my Factory Tech Separator Plate installed

What is the difference between the accumulators I took out and the ones FT sent with the kit? They looked identical to me. Even the spring that was sent looked the same. Anybody know?
I chose to leave the springs in the 1-2 accumulator. It shifts hard WOT. It actually broke loose, of course the roads were slightly wet. I couldn't imagine how hard it would have been without the springs. I was going to ask if I could take out only 1 of the 2 springs in the 1-2 Accu., but I think it shifts hard enough as is.
All in all it was an easy install. Hats off to FT.

The accumulators are the same on 98 up units, but it is recommended to change them to make sure they seal properly. The spring may or may not be the same depending on model. It is ok to remove just 1 of the lower 1-2 springs most trucks will not want to remove both unless they have alot of power and a high stall converter. Usually if I am concerned with the 2-3 being too firm I put the inner lower from the 1-2 into the 2-3, but thats just me

Thanks Alan. I'm pretty satisfied with the shifts as they are currently. We replaced the accums cause like you said, we figured they were to keep a good seal. You mentioned that most don't remove both springs unless they had alot power...Are my shifts going to get softer with more power? I figured my tranny will be the first thing to go with my charger so I'm gonna plan on a build-up with a good stall when that happens.
