How many miles on your OEM clutch???
I have over 160,000 on OEM clutch, tranny, slave, tranfer case. I am just wondering if i should have it changed (the clutch) soon or just wait till it starts slipping....

Not an F150, but...my '90 Ranger has 241,000 on its original clutch.
I would wait until it starts slipping. I think a slipping clutch is usually a gradual progression...they seldom fail catastrophically, meaning that it almost certainly won't leave you on the side of the road.
Just my 2 cents...

I once changed a clutch on a 97 with 175K miles. The customer wanted it changed because of the mileage, not because it was causing him problems. The clutch was still in good shape when I pulled it out. Probably had another 50k miles at least.

I have a guy here at work he has a 4 banger jeep and the clutch just went by by last weekend, it has lees than 50,000 miles and he babies that thing... just seems like it would have lasted alot longer.

I had 140K on my 88 before my brother totalled it and I am pretty sure it had the original clutch and slave cylinder but the slave was starting to weep.
According to the records provided to me by the previous owner (purchased truck with 93,000 miles on it) the OEM clutch was replaced at 65,000 miles after his wife decided to teach herself how to drive a 5 speed.
