Got all my stuff at advance auto. Filter and Valoline Mercon V fluid. I think the filter and 14 qts of fluid was about $65-70 bucks. I have had good luck with the fluid so far. Tranny is as smooth as silk.

Pennzoil, Mobil 1, and Ford all make a new Multi-vehicle ATF fluid that meets and exceeds all Mercon, Mercon V, and Mercon/Dexron III specifications. Takes all the guesswork out of fluid choice!

Depends on how you do it. I have a drain plug in my torque converter so it held every qt that it was supposed to hold when full. I think that was either 14 or 16 qts. Its in the manual. The only thing that didn't get drained completely were the lines to the cooler and cooler.
