Exclamation 2001 manuel trans.

What type of trans was used in 2001 V6 F150? I thought it was a M50d-2. But read in a ford truck magazine that they only used that trans until1996.

M5OD-R2 was used behind the 300I6 and 302V8 in the 87-96 F150/Bronco, behind the 4.2V6 and 4.6V8 from 97-03, and behind the 4.2V6 (4x2) in the 05+.

The M5OD-R1 was/is used in the ranger/explorer/escape/aerostar behind whatever engines were offered there.

Welcome to the forums!
