'93 E4OD jerking/shudder at low speed

My tranny is doing weird things lately. From a dead stop if i put in in drive and just idle, the truck bucks back and forth like someone is behind it pushing and pulling. Step on the gas and it shifts normally up to about 40 mph, then the tranny seems like it doesnt know what gear to be in. It bucks back and forth.....then will finally settle in gear if i give it more gas and smooths out.
It also seems to me that the OD is engaging faster than it should. Is there a MPH range that OD should engage, or does it just matter on load?

I've had the tranny drained and flushed with filter change.

It also seems to be worse in hotter weather, if that makes sense.

Could this be an engine firing problem, differential, or is it a tranny problem?
I need to get this fixed. Truck has 99k miles and is 2wd. Thanks!

Yikes, what does that mean?

I am going to change plugs, wires, cap n rotor to start with.
Then, if that doesnt fix it, i was thinking of changing the Torque Converter.

Someone in a previous post mentioned upgrading to the newer TQ, but i cant remember which one it was. I think it may have been the navigator? Does that sound familiar to anyone. Something about better build quality i think.

Thanks for the input! I *hope* i dont need to save up enough for a new tranny!
