Almost every day, but only when the trans is cold, I get a whistling noise as soon as reverse is engaged. Sort of like a vacuum leak. It makes the noise while sitting still or moving. In fact it gets slightly louder when moving. Once the trans is in drive the noise stops.
It's been doing this for almost two years now. I've changed the fluid twice, drained torque converter each time. First change I used Mobil synthetic ATF, second time I used Pennzoil ATF thinking the synthetic had something to do with it.
