Need help on where to start on hard shifting transmission, especially the shift from first to second. Also when stepping on the gas hard going uphill, I can hear a ticking, sounds like a relay and sometimes will get erratic shifting when this happens especially out on the highway. 1990 with 302, and I believe the E40D transmission. Has 102,000, bought with 90,000, I have not had the transmission serviced and don't know if the previous owner did. Thanks for any help.
