i have had many shift kits on many difrent trannys and the factory tech valve body i got from mike troyer(online vendor here) works great on my 4r70w in my 03 F-150 very hard 1-2 shift firm 2-3 and normal 3- overdrive, little more $ than a normal shift kit but easy to install and all the work has already been done all you have to do is remove stock valve body and springs and install new valve body and springs, very good product, good luck

I have a Banks Trans Command and it works really well. The shifts get harder depending on the load you place on the engine. If you take off from a light WOT the shifts will firm (33% more line pressure). If you take off easy with normal driving the shifts are only slightly firmer. If you pull a trailer and take off easy from lights the shifts will be firmer due to the load on the engine. This is measured by speed, RPM, and throttle position. I like it because when I have my in-laws or my wife in the truck the shifts are barely noticeable. It is not a valve body however. It wires inline with the tranny harness and has a bypass plug so you can bypass the Trans Command if you have to.
