valvoline max life.

I am going to do another trans service on my 4r70w with 108,000 miles. I was wondering if anyone has used the valvoline max life mercon? I know that the 97 4r70w is not a great tranny and I am wondering if that fluid would help me get some more miles out of it. Thanks

I ran max life in my girlfriends olds and it loved the stuff. Made the thing shift smooth as silk. As far as with the ford trannys I couldn't say although I have been running reg. valv. mercon V in my 01 for about 10K miles and it is likeing it just fine. Nice and smooth with no shudder at 47K miles. I'm always a fan of valvoline products.

Thumbs up

I just did a trans service on my 01 f150 4.2L V6/5-spd @55k miles. I've used Valvoline Max Life since my first tranny fluid change at 30k miles. Never had a problem and it shifts smooth. When I drained the max life out of my tranny this evening, it looked alot cleaner than the fluid I drained out from the factory.
