tranny swap question!

My e40d is dying in my 94 f150 and i was wondering if there is any viable manual tranny option with as little modification as possible?

M5OD for normal daily driver, and I would go for the ZF5 if it is a heavy tower. You also need to get the right donor trans from either a 4x4, or 4x2 truck as the tailshafts are different between the two. Also the computer from a manual truck needs to be used for the engine to run smooth

sorry to bring this back but im also going to be doing this shortly

im curious why the auto computer would make it run rough i dont see how it would make a difference

also will he have to mess with nuetral switch bypass or anyhting like that to get it to start once the convertion is complete. i have converted a car and had to bypass the nuetral switch relay in order for it to crank

also i assume drivshaft length wont be a problem
