Axle code 26 on an F-150

So I have a 1999 F-150 and was checking to see what gears and if I had LS so I was checking out the door tag and the number is 26. So I hit up here and it says I have 3.73 non-ls but the axle is listed under F-250. What is the deal?

Not sure about the door sticker code, but you can always check the pumpkin cover. There should be two metal tags screwed in under your pumpkin cover bolts which will give you information on your rear end.

I'm wondering how the axle code for a F-250 ended up on my F-150 door jam. Is it possible for an F-150 to have an F-250 rear axle?

It's not a necessarily F250 code. All the codes for the F150 are 2 characters. If non-LS it will be 2 numbers. If LS it will be a letter and a number. If you look, the F150 LS is B6, yours is 26, a 3.73 non-LS. I get the feeling that on that page, some of the numbers are missing. I also woudn't be surprised if the codes are valid for all F series.
