Question She's revinnn up on me....

I have a 01 SuperCrew 5.4 4r70w. 69,000 miles.

Trans fluid changed at 30,000 and 60,000 just like the ol book says

Well in the last two days when slowing to a stop well a rolling stop down to about 10 mph when I step back on the gas the dang truck will rev up to like 4 grand let off let the revs come down and step on it again revs up again every time it's been the third time it takes off. Do I need to take this thing in to a trans shop or just let it do this until the damn thing won't move.

Any Ideas is this trans wore out. Or is it just a solenoid or something like that..

I tow a 1500 pound snowmobile trailer about 3000 miles a year. Please tell me that this Ford can handle that.....

Well I'm gonna find out soon took her into the tranny shop.

The dude says it's possible the filter fell off because it only slips when I turn to the right....

Damnnn I hope that's what it is...

Slippage during turns is a classic symptom of low fluid level or as the man said, filter might have vibrated loose.

Thumbs up

Well to update this post!

I'm a very happy ford guy. The dude at the tranny shop found the filter fell off and it was sucking air... Charged me 40 bucks. Jeez I'd ev been happy if he charged me 200!

Man those Ford 4r70w transmissions are the BEST well except the filters can fall off....

I love my truck

Gald ya got it fixed, those filters are only held up by the seal in the valve body, I wish they would have installed a couple of bolts to make sure the filter stayed in place!!
