transmission shifts hard

I have a 95 f150 with an automatic 4x4..5.8 Ihave a problem with the transmission going from a soft shift to a very hard shift... I have run a pressure check and found that at idle it will stay at about 65 pounds and spike up to a max of about 175 while shifting....the problem is it will suddenly go to 150 pounds and stay there...will not drop even at idle.....the way i have been getting it ti drop back down is to disconnect the battery and let the ecm reset....the voltage and parameters of all the solenoids are in there ranges....when this locks up the voltage to the pressure solenoide goes max....does anybody have a clue?
