You ever seen a coolant overflow bottle thats full of watered down transmission fluid?
Yay me.
Only thing I can think of is this:
When putting the body lift on, the radiator got damaged. Had to have the tank on the driver's side of the radiator replaced. The side, coincidentally, that has the tranny cooler in it. They only thing I can think of is that the tranny cooler may have ruptured, sending ATF into the coolant. What I can't figure, is why it's only going one way, there's no coolant in the tranny.
Anyways, is this as simple as replacing the radiator, flushing the lines 30 or 40 times, and going from there? Do I need to worry about having caused any more damage than just the cooling system?
42k on her. Did the body lift myself, hence the self-inflicted damage control.
[edit] Anybody know where I can get a radiator, an actual Ford Factory replacement radiator, inexpensive? [/edit]

car quest..auto zone..napa they all carry radiators...you could try salvage yards also...when you get the parts to repar it get a trans cooler at the same time and forget about the tranny lines to the radiator..just run the lines to the cooler mount it in a fairly "windy" place and your good to go...same thing happend to me when i drove to fla 2 yrs ago in my merc..new rad and cooler in the inlaws driveway and its been good ever since! ...zap! b.t.w. empty the cooling system...flush the system out and get some cooling system cleaner and just follow directions
I would also recommed flushing the transmission due to the fact that the glue used to hold the facing on the clutch plates is a water base glue. This have seen more than a couple come in to the shop for a slipping transmission from this. Tim
