Tranny going bad???

I have a 99 150 auto w/ the 5.4, at full throttle the 1-2 shift is HARD! it pops usually (kinda hard to explain chirps the tires though ) Im wondering if its normal or if i have anything to worry about (shifts at five grand by the way) Any info would be awesome.

Thanks, Beebz

I have a problem similar to yours. I find changing the transmission fluid helps out a ton.

Check the condition of your U-joints also.
