Question Auto transmission service

I just about got 30000 miles on my rebuilt transmission and was wondering what kind of service I should get ? a flush or just drop the pan and change the filter, I'vd been told by the dealer to flush and by a transmission shop to just drop the pan and change the filter there's a big price difference.

Please help.

Thanks

I'd get the flush. Dropping the pan changes less than half of the fluid. The filter doesn't need to be changed at 30,000 miles.

If you have a TC drainplug, you can drain the TC and the pan. If you have the pan off, it's cheap insurance to change the filter after 30,000 miles with a new or rebuilt transmission.

Flush is the way to go. Check around for prices. In the Wisconsin area the flush method is now standard. It costs the same as dropping the pan. Checkout the specials from the local oil changes centers.

I disagree about flushing. I think it's a waste of money. Drop the pan, change the filter, and drain the torque converter. Simple cheap and easy.
