Smile Transmission Fluid Change

I have been told that you can change virtually all trans fluids by disconnection the hose that connects the transmission to the input side of the trans fluid cooler and then running the engine at an idle until air starts coming out of the hose. Shut the engine off immediately. Then drain the pan, change the filter , reinstall the pan and fill'er up. Any comments? Has anyone tried this method?

Also is there a plug in the torque converter and is there easy access to it??

HELP! I do a lot of towing and would like to change to full synthetic.

I use that method all the time. Here's the way I do it:

If your truck is a 2002 or newer it won't have a drain plug in the torque converter. Older trucks do have the drain plug.
