e4od problem

just bought a 92 f150 4x4, trans makes a grinding sound in 1st and 2nd but when it goes into 3rd and o/d it quiets down. any suggestions. thanks mark

boy sure glad i joined this site !

thinking this was a f150 site i figured someone would have some insight on this. guess no one has a problem with there e4od. thanks alot.

I can't give you a direct answer on the problem so I didn't answer.
Transmission is going to have to be dissasembled.
