Won't go into overdrive when warm?? WTF??

Hey guys, I got a problem that I've noticed for a couple months...when I leave in the morning and get on the highway, I can put my truck into overdrive...however, in the afternoon when I leave it will not go into overdrive...lately, the truck has been bucking w/ the ac on under accelerating/load. Can these multiple problems...had new plugs put in...might be an O2 censor, but wondered if it had anything to do with the tranny...don't want to go to the dealer/mechanic and troubleshoot all my money away.
