amsoil atf in 4R70W??

is this allowable in a 2002 f150 with a 5.4?? isnt that the one that uses the mercon V? anyone know about this? what does the factory say?

Amsoil ATF meets Mercon and Mercon V specs so its a moot question.

I don't know how important it is, but go with what the transmission fluid dip stick says on it.
According to the Ford owners manual, bad things happen if you mix Mercon and Mercon V. I don't know, but figured that it was in writing for a reason.
