Grinding Sound

I have a 97 f-150 with about 70k on it. I had a dead battery this morning and after giving it a jump, I am getting a really strange "grinding noise when I push the clutch pedal down. It only happens when I push it all the way, which allows me to still get in gear if I only push it until I can get it to engage. any ideas???

I'm also having a bunch of electrical probs now too...including the radio display comes and goes, the headlights come on by themselves, the door ajar chime dings even when the key isn't in the ignition, the speedo doesn't always move, etc...etc...

the elec. probs sound like you have a bad ground ar maybe the pos cable isnt tight.. ---- check connections .

Grinding...... I don't know - could probably be few different problems -- hear it before battery change? or after only?

"grinding noise"

The sound didn't start until after I jumped the battery...along with a lot of other electrical problems....so you think it might just be the ground our pos cable terminal??
