Shudder, Tramission

Yes I have a 1993 Ford 150 4.9L inline six with a E4OD tramission and have 130,000 miles on the truck, just recently I have developed a shudder in the XMSN when the truck is not under a load, once it starts I can make it go away by getting in it, I have read alot about this in this forum, seems there are two different solutions. One have the transmission fluid changed and Torque converter drained and flush, the other is to replace the torque converter. has anyone any knowledge of weather this type of XMSn has a lockout solinoid valve. Or anything I may try to fix this problem, I really do not want to replace the XMSN because of the cost. e-mail direct cbarnes890@earthlink.net
