Clutch replacement on a 94 F150 I6

A buddy of mine has a leaking slave cylinder, so we're going to replace the clutch while we're in there. I am a Mustang guy and have never done a hydraulic clutch to this point. Any tips or pointers that are specific to the hydraulic system? I suppose places like Napa or Advance will have a slave cylinder?

Also, this is a bone stock truck used for mostly in town driving. What clutch disc and PP should we get. He doesn't want to spend a ton, but we also don't want to have to do this again.

Any suggestions will be appreciated!

just helped a buddy yesterday with this

I'm a mustang guy as well, but this tranny (5-speed behind I6 on a 96) was a piece of cake............no hidden secrets to it at all.

Joesmith03 and I swapped mine out this weekend. It wasn't to bad, pretty easy. The hydro line will come off using a screw driver. Just pushin on the white ring and the line should pop off with a little tug. I replaced my slave cylinder. I got it from advance auto, it cost $55. I got a clutch kit there for it for $134 and it it is rated up to 8500 lbs. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions.
