Unhappy can't put in gear, help !

Have a 99 f150 4x4 and pulled a car from Baltimore to Ohio, after got into Ohio car lost power and transmission wouldn't do anything or go anywhere. put in park or any other gear and it acts like its in neutral. Had towed home put up on rack didn't see anything leaking and it started working again, went 3 blocks and same thing happened again, got any ideas, talk to a tranny guy he can't see it for a week, talk to ford they were no help, truck has 91,000 miles on it and just bought it from the auction a week ago, could it be in transfer case or a sensor?

Send a message via ICQ to JMC
Check the connector going into the tranny for loose or corroded contacts. Check the cable for binding. If all these check out it may be the Switch.
