4x4 question!

I have a 99 Expedition 4x4 with 170k miles. When I put it in 4x4 everything works well until I start turning. It then sounds as if the clutches are grabbing and not letting the limited slip work properly.

I have already changed the oil thinking that might have been the problem.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Bye the way, this is really the first problem I have ever had with this vehicle.

If the limited slip is working properly, it should want to grab and bind when turning---this means ALL four wheels are pulling.

True 4X4 is for straight line use anyway----don't sweat it, just stay off the pavement when you are "locked in"
