Question my clutch wont diengage the trany from the engine

i was going down the highway, i put the clutch in and i felt a pop and when i slowed the rpms went down with the speed and died when i stoped, i had the cluch in the whole time but it wont disengage the engine. can anyone help?

Did it feel as if the clutch master cylinder or the hydraulic line burst? Does the pedal still feel as if it operates, or has it gone slack?

From what you are saying, it sounds like the hydraulics went.

clutch

it felt like it poped and went to the floor but i dont think theres anything wrong with the hydrolics because when i push it, the plate on the outside of the tranny moves i think its internal. but im not sure what it is im going to take the tranny out and see whats happening in the bell housing

You could have broken or slipped the throwout bearing fork.

It could be a lot of things. Let us know what you find.
