Expedition: Manual transmission

Question for you transmission afficinados... One thing I really miss in my 97 Expedition vs other vehicles I've driven is a manual transmission.

Has anyone ever retrofitted a manual transmission on to a 5.4L Expedition? Is it even possible? And if so, what kind of cost $$ wise is involved?

Clutch pedal w/brackets & clutch pedal position switch, tranny w/shifter & boot, clutch, flywheel, hydraulic system, Chip to convert PCM from auto mode to manual mode, new tranny mount, driveshaft, remove consol, cut floor to fit shifter, dust boot nuts & bolts, modify wire harness to accept clutch pedal position switch. The Tranny is about $2 - 3000.00. Clutch & flywheel will run you close to $1000.00 for a centerforce. For a chip talk to Mike T. Can't even guess about the pedals & such. Junk yard $100.00??? Driveshaft, depending on what you get maybe shorten or lengthen yours, $2-300.00

Let me know how you make out.
