Hey, i've got a '94 F-150, with a 5.8 V-8. It needs a transmission, as mine puked on me. (which was an E4OD originally) I recently was given a Good Transmission from a '95 302. I think it's an AOD, because it IS overdrive, but it's not an E4OD. My questions are, How do I tell if it's an AOD, and most IMPORTANTLY...WILL it work? Because the wiring plugs are completely different! Do I need these plugs plugged in? Because...If I just hook up the linkage, it should work, right? I mean its still a basic transmission! Any imputs would be greatly appreciated!

It needs the plugs, and to get them right it needs the PCM and electrical system from the donor vehichle.
It's pretty involved getting it to work, better to rebuild the big box.
