Are you just draining the pan and the filter? Is your truck pre 2000?If it is you have a drain plug on the converter and if you drain that along with the pan you will need 12-13 quarts. If its just the pan 5 quarts are safe to get. But,why are you going to Ford to get the oil and fluid?Wal-Mart sells the Motorcraft 5w20 for $1.77 a quart.Motorcraft filters are $2.64-$2.97 there too.And the trans filter and fluid is cheaper at Autozone.Just trying to save ya some money.Good luck and keep us posted!

What motor do you have? You know, you should go to your profile and where it says signature put in the specs of your truck, like mine are in my signature. That way when you ask a question people will reply quicker knowing what you drive.

Coolant capacity; 4.2 V6- To get 85-90% of the old coolant out,ide pull the block drains and lower ratiator hose. You can use tap water to flush, but ide recommend using distilled water with the antifreeze fill.Dont forget the radiator drain valve at the bottom of the radiator!

with a/c= 17.3 quarts
with out a/c= 15.9 quarts
both 50/50 mix

You posted the same question on Talleys site.
