I have a 00 F150 2wd with a 4.6 and the 4R70W. Last week I noticed that the shift from 2nd to 3rd hit hard. The harder I pressed it, the harder it hit, but all other gears were fine.
I don't do any towing, never have, and at the most hauled 500lbs in the bed. Only mod is a FIPK.
No O/D light blinking and no codes were found when doing a diagnostic. I replaced the neutral safety switch due to the advice of someone else. No luck. When I took the truck out of O/D to ride around town, it seemed to be fine. Just last night it started acting up again. It seems to be slipping in all gears and when I am going down the road about 40 it will "downshift" and then "upshift" with about a 2 second pause between the two.
I have checked the tranny fluid and it seems to be fine. No foreign material. BTW, I have no problem using reverse, (as of yet)
Anyone know what this could be??? Any info is helpful. Looking to get a FTVB, so if it is my valve body, then great!!
