Angry Shuddering / Bucking problem

I have a shuddering problem when off the throttle at all speeds. I can actually get the whole truck to buck by stopping the vehicle at a slight incline, putting it in first gear, release the brake w/o applying any throttle, it will either start bucking then or I may have to put it in 2nd gear, then the whole cab starts shaking. This is between 2 and 5 mph. I have it at Ford now, and just got a call saying that there is nothing they can really do about and to come pick it up. Well, I am going in tomorrow to talk with the service manager about replacing the torque convertor or trans. I had this problem since new and had it in the shop at least 8 times for the same problem. If they won't fix it, I will lemmon law it. I just didn't want to go through the hassle of it. If anyone knows anything about this problem or something I can or Ford can do to fix, please let me know. If you want to know what Ford did about it so far, its NOTHING, 3 different dealers.

This happened to my truck with an AODE 94 F150 under warranty and it turned out to be the torque converter. I'm having the same problem now between 1-2 shiffts and plan on changing the converter again. Of course I have 150k more miles since the original shuddering.

the cure for converter shudder in the 4r70w's is clean fluid, and that fluid must be Mercon V fluid.

It has cured many a shudder that I have worked with, everything from mustangs to 95 thunderbirds.

If you put clean fluid in it, and it still shudders then you need a new converter.

Ok, I took it back to the original dealer and they finally repaired it. They replaced the torque convertor, transfer case, and trans shaft. It fixed the bucking problem and I also my rough idle. I had checked the fluid before and it was nice and clean. Also since it's a 2001, it came with Mercon V. Anyway, I would assume it has been changed now . Thank you for your replies.
