Help FT Valve body install/problems

Help.

I've just finished installing the Factory Tech Valve body (4R70W)and I don't know what is wrong.

Task went well, except I had to replace the molded lead because I broke a tab off.

Finished a few moments ago and went for a test drive. Truck shift 1-2 fine, 2-3 fine, but no 3-4 (overdrive). Engine just freewheels. If I push the OD off button, it shifts down just fine.

In second gear, there is no engine braking at all. 1st gear has plenty of braking.

What did I do wrong?

Does anyone have a phone number for Greg, I've emailed him, but no answer yet.

After I installed my TransGo shift kit, I had the same problem; however, I needed to get my tranny rebuilt, I had just blown up OD, but that was a known problem on the early 4R70Ws, I hope you don't need that. I dropped my valve body I think 6 times, and I could never figure it out, I had to bring it in, and let them figure out what was wrong, and I watched them disassembly my tranny, and the OD clutches 1 I think was broken, and the others were just worn down.

I took it to a shop, cause I figured that if it was like that following what I'd already done, I didn't want to screw it up anymore. Turns out that I'd done something during accumulator replacement that allowed a pin to not be in contact with a band and the band to shift inside the trans. Fortunately, it appears the band didn't burn up and now I'm shifting quite well.

So all is well then? He usually doesn't get on email till pretty late at night, so I am sure he will get back with you. How much did the tranny shop charge you to fix it? Gregg will be shipping me my valvebody Saturday so maybe next weekend I will tackle this project. Any pointers are always welcome...
