Recently I have noticed abnormally harsh shifts when under no load even when going downhill w/ no throttle. Most noticeable from 1-2 but 2-3 is also harsh.
I removed my Superchip to see if it made a difference however it didn't.
Under normal to heavy acceleration all shifts seam smooth, a little to soft IMO.
Currently @ 128,000 miles on e4od.
Fluid flushed about 20,000 ago by Ford. It is still clean, full, and smells good.
I don't know that it is troublesome I would just like some input from the experts or anyone that has experienced similar on the board.

Sounds like its about to let go, thats what mine did just before it scheduled out. Most e4ods last to around 90,000, or so I was told buy the people who replaced mine. Sorry, DAVID
Just trying to get some more views and hopefully a little more input on this.
I forgot to mention the first time around that I suspected a U-joint but they seam very tight.
This 1-2 only seams noticable at 10mph or less and between idle-1100rpm.
I don't feel a slip before, no unusual noises.
I re-installed my chip which helps some because it holds first longer.
I had a nearby maaco tech drive it and he noticed nothing unusual but I notice everything on my truck. It hasn't gotten worse since first noticed.
Any other ideas? Anyone?
The first thing I would do is change the solenoid pack..These solenoid packs seem to be the root of most of the evil in E4OD's..Your harsh part throttle and soft WOT sounds like the EPC solenoid is acting up or the Line modulator valve is sticking in the forward accumulator..I would look into the Solenoid pack since it is affecting all upshifts...
I've seen the EPC solenoid as the suggested culprit in similar posts.
Can anyone tell me whats involved in changing this solenoid?
Can a fairly skilled shadetree mechanic change it or is it deep within?
Part #? Cost?
Any additional help will be sincerly appreciated as this condition seams to be worsening slightly, However 3 in 10 shifts are perfect.
