Which is the output line to the cooler? The one entering the top or bottom of the radiator?
Thanks,
john

In Line Filters
Crashz,
The reason I ask is I have two inline filters I'm installing and want to make sure the direction of the flow is right. I'm almost positive the top is the outgoing line and the bottom is the incomming line.
I'm doing a perma-cool on the outgoing line and a magnefine on the incomming line. I was going to do both magnefines's, but they don't reccomend putting one in the line to the radiator if it has more than 5K in mileage. So I'm putting it in the return line.
Thanks,
John

Do you have an aux. cooler? If you do, how did you route the fluid flow? What I mean is, does the fluid coming from the tranny goe to the rad first then the aux. cooler, then filter or do you route the aux first? Does it even matter what order they are linked? Thanks

Crashz,
I think it does matter which way to route it. I have the factory auxilliary cooler. I'm thinking of adding an additional one with a fan. I'm putting in a gauge shortly and it should tell me if I'll need the additional one.
As to route. Into top of the radiator, out bottom into auxilliary cooler, out auxilliary cooler back to tranny.

A couple of things......
The top line on the radiator is comming from the transmission and the bottom line is the return. Touch the lines when the transmission fluid is warm. You'll find that the bottom line is cooler than the upper line.
When you mount an auxiliary cooler, always run it after the fluid leaves the radiator or that fluid will never be cooler than the engine.
Also: Mount the in-line filter before the transmission fluid enters the radiator.

AJ,
Thanks for the tip. I'm putting the Perma-cool inline before the radiator and the Magenfine on the return line. The Magnefines instructions state to put it in the return line if you have over 5k on the vehicle. I guess in case there's buil up in the cooler.
