Cool Raoul. WHere did you get that? I'd like to dig that up for the Expy too. I can't remember where I've seen it but it's out there.....

I got the numbers from my 1999 Owners manual.
I combined the 4 tables on pages 137-139.

Does "Sup" mean Super Cab, or Supercrew?

Sorry, I used my 1999 manual and 'Supercrews' did not exist then. They were just were just a twinkle in some engineers eye.
If you have a Supercrew and don't have access to these types of numbers then perhaps some nice Supercrew owner will post them.

Anyway, there are NO Supercrew numbers in the table above, only real pickup truck numbers.

Yeah Right a real truck Shiii__. Extended cabs are the worst kind of truck < (relative term) you could buy. Can't haul people and can't haul payload there's a type of truck that will be extinct real soon.... Thanks but I'll stick with my crew at least all SIX of us can go COMFORTABLY and all our gear thank you...
Even a little itty bitty car can haul people.

How are those little bitty backward rear doors treating ya...LMAO

Gotta supercab... don't need to haul people (single guy) don't need to haul a load (got a trailer for that), want a 4wd truck, and need space behind the seat for "stuff" like the "stuff" you find in the trunk of a car (i.e. jumper cables, flares, empty bottles, etc), go camping a lot in the summertime (so I need storage space in the bed), pull a 5000 lb boat, and occasionally take a trip out to the sand dunes.... For just me, the g/f, and the occasional child, sounds like a supercab pickup is just perfect for me!

If you want to haul stuff, you get a standard cab super-duty with a diesel. If you want to haul people, you get an Expedition, Excursion, full size van, or a bus.

just my .02

Different strokes for different folks. Hate to break the news to you, but everyone doesn't have the same exact needs for a truck as YOU do...... Oh yeah, how many yards of bark (or whatever) can you put in the back of that Super Crew bed? See, my needs are not the same as yours.

After it's all said and down, all Super Crews and Extended cabs have the same payload capacity. Sure, your GVW is 6750, but you also weigh more from the start, so that extra #500 is eaten up really quick before you even put the extra people in or payload. Don't want to start a "mine is better then yours" flame war were. Hell, they are all FORD TRUCKS. Be happy with that and enjoy your rig for the purpose you purchased it for.

I do enjoy them all... they all count towards my profit sharing!

(I work for FoMoCo, so buy whichever one you want! )

Owned 'em both-

SuperCab & currently own a SuperCrew & Expedition:

I have contributed heavily to your profit Sharing bonus GI.

All-in-all, I liked the SuperCab better- Not that it was a better truck- I just think it's a better-looking truck. There isn't (In my opinion) a sexier looking truck on the road than an Extended can, Flareside (Amazon Green Mettallic) 4.6L V-8, 4x2 F-150 XLT...

Yes sir, that's a nice truck.

I traded it in for the Expedition. My wife got the fever, and fell in love with the SuperCrew (Which she tried to get me to buy when I got the Expy). I dnd't get it (They we'ren't budging on the prices at all in Oct. 2000 on the SuperCrews- I got my Expy Sport (Loaded w/Leather) 7,000 understicker- nuff said...

I never liked Ford Trucks, until the 1997 debuted in 1996. I've been hooked ever-since. Now, I even like those previous Gen F-150 Flaresides...

I trade trucks a lot since i work at a dealership, and i must say, everytime i buy a supercrew (3 times so far), the bed size and shape really irks me, and i never use the bigger cab (single guy with girlfriend). So once again, i traded my 4x4 supercrew back for a supercab. The cab is plenty big for my needs and i have a bed i can work with. I think what drives me crazy is the way they narrowed the tailgate and made those stupid "boxes" at the back just to get the flareside style taillights in there.
