I'm curious what is different between these two with the same 5.4 V-8 engine. I know the suspension will be beefier and I figure the differential with be geared higher, but what makes the 3/4 Ton able to pull more weight?

 

Thicker frame
Heavier duty transmission
Heavier duty brakes
Heavier suspension
Heavier duty axles

 

Add better cooling to the list.
