Talking Acceptable tranny temps while towing?

Hello again everyone. I have recently properly set up my 2010 SCREW 5.4 V8 with the WDH with sway control, ordered a tongue weight scale, a Scangauge and a prodigy 3 brake controller. Everything works well and I have tested everything out, weighed everything empty and full, etc with no problems. I am towing a 26 foot work and play with two motorcycles through the south from Mississippi to Virginia, so it is fairly flat with no mountain passes or anything to deal with.

My last question is this: On my Scangauge, when towing, what are the ranges for my transmission temp I should be looking for?

What options are any of you guys who suggested a Scangauge running on your display?

It is a new toy and just wanted to see what some of you guys have already figured out? Thanks a million for all the tips and advice. Also, the tongue weight scale is only about 130 dollars and worth the money as opposed to worrying if you loaded everything right in the trailer. I will post pics in a few days.

Bottom line? If it exceeds 210 for more than a couple of minutes, slow down and let it cool. If it hits 250, pull over and throw it in Park and wait till it's under 200.

08 F150 5.4 3.73. I tow a 4050lb TT and have a
Scangauge. I see normal towing temps around 150-170 depending on air temp. I see 200-207 climbing 6% grades for 5-10 miles. Usually the 200-207 isn't reached untill I reach the summit. Never gone over 207. Water temp will hit 203 on 6% climb also. Not much increase on water temp as it is allways around 198. Just driving through the CG looking for a space the trans temp will run up around 180-190.
