Harley F150 Towing Maximum
Help. My 2000 Harley F150 is limited to 3000 lbs less than a standard F150 Super Cab. Why? Is it the wheels, or the aluminum drive shaft?

Just a guess here, but maybe it's those 20" wheels and low profile tires? That's probably the difference in payload for towing.

That and it is not the regular drivetrain, since it is an AWD.

Whatever was used to lower the body (suspension) is probably the limit for that year HD.
