Talking DIY Putnam Hitch on my 97

Hey everyone,

Dad played hitch fairy and bought a class III putnam hitch for me for my birthday last month. Finally got around to installing it this morning and I'm glad I did.
I did find alot of surface rust on the frame of the truck-(its been bothering me for a while)- i took a wire brush and scraped it. Had this rust-stop stuff I use on my horse trailer and put it where the bolts would go (don't need those rusting though).

Anyway, I'm very happy with the hitch. It tucks up so nice under the back, you can barely see it compared to his 97 expedition with the tow package. And got a $15 Ford hitch cover from walmart- now its complete!
Pic coming soon...

Needless to say, I am very happy this thing is finally in, even if it is just bolt on.
Step 1, check.
