Typical way ricers do most anything. Just like the guy at work with the Nissan Z who kept saying he could whip my Mustang. Well until I showed up at work with it the other day and he realized it was a modded GT with 375 RWHP. I guess he thought I had a V6.
Plus comon those Titans are UGLY compared to any US made truck, let alone the best of the best F150.
I like how he nails the portapotty. What kind of truck was the Dodge dragging? And I'd be willing to tie up my F-150 against my Grandpa's new Titan. Same configuration as mine too (ext cab, short bed, etc...)

Indeed. Tug of war's are about traction, not power. Put a super-duty on street tires against a 2wd F-150 on boggers in the mud, and the 150 will drag the SD around all day long. Once one vehicle breaks traction, a friggin' Samurai could drag it around. If ever challenged, stand on the brakes til the other guy starts spinning the tires, then just drive away with him.

Any of you ever seen that tug o war between the Bronco II and the newer Dodge Ram 1500? It's exactly what happened. The Dodge spun it's wheels, the Bronco didn't, and the Bronco won.

I'll race you in my "lowly" 4 cylinder...
The Titan is a US made truck as well...
Either way, who cares? Objectively, the Titan is a pretty good truck, maybe better than the F150 (gasp!). It all depends on what you're doing.
Only reason I went with an F150 is because they're far cheaper on the used market and the older ones are pretty damned reliable. If I had to buy something new, it would probably be a Titan because I think the new F150 is a pig that is a PITA to load stuff into from the side. That, and the new F150 seems to have even more problems than the Titan, who's main problems seem to be rattling interior pieces and warped rotors, both fixed. Now, if Ford came out with a diesel F150, then I would reconsider...

The Titan is such a good truck, no one is buying it. Nissan recently announced that they are cutting production because the sales numbers didn't meet expectations.

Yup. Gas prices are ridiculous right now and sales are slumping. I would bet that consumer sales for the F150 have slumped just as much and the only thing keeping it alive right now is fleet sales (since most fleet sales just keep buying the same brand every year). Sales are slumping on all trucks right now. If Nissan is cutting production, that is just smart business. Ford, Chevy and the rest should reduce production as well, as full size truck sales are going to continue to decline as fuel prices increase. Simple economics.
Either way, we're off topic. My personal choice is if I was buying a new truck, I would pick a Titan. I'm a Nissan guy and, as I said earlier, the only reason I went Ford was because the last generation F150 offered excellent reliability and used ones could be found at an excellent price (I got mine in near perfect condition for $15k out the door with financing and less than 30k miles and transferred the 100k warranty from the previous owner). The Titan offers more "balls" than the F150, better steering feel, easier loading, a more responsive transmission, and gives you more for your money, but isn't as quiet or nice inside. I prefer the Titan, so what?
