Sync says "unknown" media on Samsung phone
My sync works great on my 2015 f150 xlt... except
(After bluetooth sync'ing all good...)
I have loaded my phone's extended memory card with mp3's for a long trip.
When I go to the MEDIA button options, to get to the bluetooth control, the only file I get to see is 4 different "unknown"'s which are unplayable.
The dealer told me I must control (like select, skip, pause and play) the songs with my android phone. It works, but what a driver distraction.
On a business trip I rented a Nissan and a Kia and both sync'ed my mp3 library up, and it plays media mp3's directly from the car, exactly what I wanted. All controlled by the dash or steering wheel controls. Ford doesn't.
So after 5 hours of dinking with all of this... I found a work around, and possibly a fix...
1. Open "MUSIC" (samsung music player) on your device.
2. Create a new playlist, and select all. Enter DONE.
3. Exit the music application.
Now when you push MEDIA, your phone plays, and passes control to sync.
yipee no idea why, but it works. I rebooted the phone and it still worked.
It sync's up the last playlist you had opened, and remembers through power cycling the phone. Even played the mp3 where I left off.
Please try this... let me know. Perhaps I missed something else, or there is a better way.
cool, eh?
