Lightbulb Svt raptor...leveled or lifted???

hey guys, i was wondering, i know the new raptor sits 2 inches taller than stock f150's and comes with 35 inch tires. but it looks like it still has that rake to it. i don't think it needs a lift for me personally but, i would like to see it leveled out, maybe give it 2 inches up front. i think it would sit at the perfect height then. do you guys think it is capable of being leveled?

possibly. the best bet would be to get longer shackels for the rear and drop it 2 inches

X2...

I actually think the article I was reading says the Raptor sits lower then the base F150 and is 7 inches wider...

From what I've read about it...I'd leave it alone... Throw some off road lights up front and a nice sound system and drive the hell out of it!

Sorry about the BIG sig... I've gotta fix that...

i dont see how its possible for it to sit lower? it comes with a 3 inch lift... but it is wider.. idk about the 7 inches part tho..

MAYBE what you read was about the ACTUAL truck that they raced in the baja 1000?????

All of the write-ups thus far have said the Raptor is 7" wider and 2" higher than the F-150 Lariat.

Guys. The Raptor is 7 inches wider than the F150, that's the reason for the yellow lights in the grille. You know those yellow lights on the cabs of F350's? Those are DOT mandated because of how wide they are. The Raptor is no different.

Stock the Raptor has 13.4 inches of usable travel in the rear, and 11.2 inches in the front. I would say that anything has the ability to be leveled; you're just going to have to wait until someone builds the leveling kit for it.

the f 350s are not mandated to have the clearance lights on the roof. that is completely optional by the customer. if its a duelly, they do need lights on the hips of it, yellow on front, and red on back. but yes, that is why the raptor needs the lights on the front of the fenders and on the grill, cuz they went 7 inches wider than stock, which is pushing the width limit of vehicles. if i remember right, another 6 inches and it would have to have an over width permit. lol. now thats nice.

I think you'd regret messing with the suspension of a Raptor. Too much work has gone into it stock to just start tweaking with it. I'd wait and see if you could get some real "race tested" parts somewhere down the line.

2 options exist on the Raptor.

The lower spring perch sits on a snapring in the lowest of three grooves in the shock body. You can remove the spring and move the perch up 2 inches, increasing the preload and reducing the available droop or contact Truxx mfg for a spacer that goes on top of the shock - moving it down and leaving the shock in its OE position. The latter lets the upper control arm contact the spring slightly at full extension, but not enough to cause noise or damage.

I gave Truxx my Raptor for a week to design the spacer kit and I really like the outcome. It still rides like stock, has full travel and sits level even when towing my boys Joyner.

See pics of it levelled in my album.
