Suspension and the ride afterwards...

Is there much difference in the smoothness of the ride after installing a lift?

My 2002 Supercab FX4 rides very smooth and after I put a lift kit on soon, will it be much bumpier??

Anyone with a lift please let me know how you feel about this.

Let me give you some advice about smooth rides, it is all in the shocks you put underneth your truck. if it is a street truck look into rancho 9000s there adjustable from 1-5 1 being the stiffest and 5 being the softest if i am not mistaken. depending on the lift if it is fabtec the shocks are worthless and your truck will ride very harsh to be perfectly honest every lift kit comes with the same shocks with different stickers on them except for RCD which comes with bilstiens.

And from what I've read on here... Bilstiens are pretty good.

The only thing I can tell you is the truck rides similar to when it was stock. It seems like it bounces a little more than stock but it is not even close to what I would consider being too stiff or bouncy. I definitely think the shocks make a difference when it comes to controlling the heavier tires. Hope this helps.
