I like it so far but its only been on for 2 days. I paid about 300 less for the Fabtech kit then the Rancho. I had varibles when I was choosing a kit, I wanted 35's with no body lift so I went with the Fabtech kit. I also looed at the RCD 5" lift too. Its about the same price as the Rancho kit as well. I think the fit and finish looks good. Also I have a true 6" of lift with no bar twist. I'll post more pics so you can see the whole package.

Looks great. Do you think you could fit 37 inch tires with a little torsion bar cranking? Does the truck sit level or have the West coast "prerunner" look? Thanks.

Nope bud. I have a 5" RCD and 3" Body lift and my 37s rubbed pretty bad. So I trimmed a little and cranked the torsion bars about 1 1/2". Now they don't rub, but remember the rear of the Fabtech lift is only 3". So even with a 3" Body and 6" Fabtech, you are going to have to put an add a leaf or something else in the rear. There lift only comes with a 3" Block for the rear, which is the reason I did not go with it. My 5" RCD lifted the whole truck 5" and I am also adding a 2" Block in the rear to make room for 38.5s.

I know about the smaller block for the rear...I was planning on at least 1.5 inch add-a-leaf in addition. I'm only really concerned about the front. There is no point in me waiting for the Fabtech kit to come in if I can only run 35s. I'm willing to do a little cranking and trimming...how bad was your rubbing with those 37s?

Daytime pics

Here are some better daytime pics. As for it sitting level, I set a 4' level on the bed rail and the bubble is right on the money.

If anyone wants pics of paticular parts or areas then let me know.

Thumbs up

Team Trent,

Truck looks great! I just ordered my Fabtech lift to replace my Trailmaster today along with new tires and was wondering if the kit came with longer brake lines or if I needed to order some and also is there anything the kit does not come with that I will need?

Thanks, Scott

I'm in the North Dallas area, just drop me a line.

The kit is complete with everything you need, but brake lines would be good. I only added the blue shock boots for the lift kit. I also have yet to install a triple shock hoop, skid plates, traction bars. Needed my truck for work.

Here is a few more:

Its a bit more level here, but i'm up on the ramp a little. She sits level.

Hi PBall, been around just don't post a lot. Kinda stupid of me to mess with a good thing, since the Traimaster has been so good. Everyone says that Fabtech lifts are very good. Lets hope so! I keep getting conflicting stories if the 38's will fit with the new lift but I'll give it a whirl and find out for myself.

See ya, Scott
