Pre 97 Front lift

Got a 93 f150. I've got 33 12.50 15's on stock suspension right now. I've been told I can go up to 4" without brackets if I make my own radius arms or buy them and get +/- ° camber bushings. Is this true? I've also read the most I can go is 3" without pivot drop brackets. Someone close to me is selling a set of 4" lift coils for $50. They're off of an 89 bronco, and will fit. The bronco was in a collision that bent the brackets, so he only has the coils. If I'm 1 or 2° positive camber I'm not too worried.
