Suspension lift 99 f-150 2wd

I'm lookin for suggestions on a suspension build with good clearance to fit either 33's or 35's without major rubbing; mainly suspension but maybe a little bit of body and suspension together. I would also like a little bit of squat in the back, just a little.

more lift. more clearance. squat. 33's. got it.

Sounds like you want 3.5" lift spindles, 1.5" lift coils and a 2" block (3" block would sit level).

my old truck with 3.5" spindles, 1.5" coil spacer and a 2" block on 265's

Yeah I'm just now seeing this, but how would I do it with a 20 inch rim, a 20x9 American racing rim with little or no offset

With 9" wheels and 4.5" of backspacing your going to want around 5" of lift for 33's and around 7-7.5" for 35's to minimize rubbing. You'll still probably need to trim the valence in the corners some.

So really I need to go with 31's, 315's or 295's? With that lift set up?

If your going to run the same lift combination as 97isnotold (3.5" spindles plus a 1.5" spacer to get 5" up front) and a 9" wide wheel with 4.5" of backspacing you can go with something around a 33x12.50 depending on how aggressive the tread pattern is. I'm assuming by 315's your referring to 35's which isn't going to work.

Thanks, the tire size thing was confusing me, I had to look that up but yes my goal is to fit a 33 on a 20 inch rim without getting bigger than a 3 inch lift from rough county because that's about the best price for me, it will be about 500 total including the steering stabilizer

I wouldn't worry about a steering stabilizer, that's money that can be spent somewhere else.

Also, check out Canuck Motorsports, Doestch, and Springtech. Haven't been on their websites in a while, but those companies have generally always been the cheapest place to get 3.5" lift spindles.

And remember, if you go with a coil spacer or lift coils you need to stay under 2" max. If you want to go to 3" that route you'll need to get aftermarket control arms which will add another couple hundred to the total.
