1986 F150 suspension swap?

I have an 86 f150 4x4 and she is my baby I love this truck. But I have run into an issue I have been way over loading her a lot recently and I am sure I could probably use a bigger truck but I want to keep her. So here is my question how would I go about putting 3/4 ton suspension under my half ton truck? my roommate is a welder by profession so any modification that I would need is not a big deal. If someone can give me any information other than sell it and get an F250 I would really appreciate it. She has 490000 miles on her and I plan on keeping her on the road for another 510000 at least.

It won't make the frame a 3/4 ton.
It won't make the diff and axle a 3/4 ton either.

Right. It also won't make your transmission or transfer case capable of hauling/towing more weight. And if you're approaching half a million miles it wouldn't be worth the effort.

I am well aware that it would not make my truck a 3/4 ton and I was hoping to transfer axles and all. Also the truck has a fresh engine and transmission rebuild. I was just thinking more or less stiffer suspension and I would like the bigger axles. 3/4 axles and suspension. I have just been loading this thing almost every weekend and it has not had a problem pulling or stopping just been sitting on the stops. worst case I will just do a strait axle swap with danna 60s and some 3/4 ton springs.

Forgot to mention braking, glad you brought that up. That is the worst part about what you're asking. Being able to pull or haul a heavy load is relatively easy. Not being able to stop that heavy load is the scary part. Not just for you, but the rest of the drivers on the road.
