This is a great write up with lots of great information!
I'm not very mechanically inclined, but I know a bit. I've been readin around a bit, and I came across someone saying that for 4x4 trucks, you can crank the torsion bars WITHOUT any aftermarket kits? But with 2wd, you DO need a kit? I'm getting that with the stock 4x4, you can use the stock torsion bars andand keys to crank them 1"-2.5"? No aftermarket parts?
Whether or not I need an aftermarket kit for my 4x4, is there a write up on how to crank the torsion bars? I haven't been able to find one.

Dont buy the keys or any "aftermarket kit" for 4x4....just crank the stock ones to 1.5 inches...2 inches MAXXX....probably no write up on it cuz its so simple and easy.....lift up front end of truck...equally turn both key bolts at end of torsion bars...lower truck back down...check and adjust as necessary...and then to the alignment shop...done
