Rancho 4" lift 2009-2013: Why only 4WD???

This may be a stupid question but why is the Rancho 4" lift kit for 4WD only? I am thinking of going another direction with my truck and want the 4" lift. If this kit truly is only for 4WD are there any other options out there for me as far as lifting a 2WD? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the link. Really looking for a 4" though not a 6". That doesn't really answer my question about the rancho either. Why is it only for 4WD? I'm a lowered guy so this lifting stuff is all foreign to me. I have searched on here and also read through the sticky in the susp. forum. Just not finding the answers I want.

Edit- Just searched that site and found they also have a 4" kit for 2WD. Thanks.

Because 4x4 and 4x2 have different suspension components. And a 4" lift on a 4x4 would sit the truck at the same height as a 6" lift on a 4x2.

Thanks! Anybody have any input/experience with which one is better quality/design between Pro Comp, Rough Country, and BDS?

Looks like Rough Country only offers a level kit for 2WD. Pro Comp only offers a 6" lift, BDS offers 4" and 6" lift kits. Guess I need to decide if 4" is enough. lol
