Finally decided to go lower.

So far I have installed 2" lower springs in front and had alignment. Next is the rear. I was thinking 2" rear shackles or flip kit by DJM. But it dawned on me. I have an extra 9.75 fully built laying around. Why dont I just flip the bracket that the leaf bolts too.

well I cut out the upper bracket that supports the leaf assembly. I was thinking if I weld it to bottom this would essentially be same as a cheap flip kit.

My question is I took measurements before I cut it, should I weld it directly below where it used to be or located it to compensate for pinion angle. Two birds with one stone. What do you think?

I would imagine it goes straight 180. I think it would be too hard to try and measure off degrees

Assuming you are going to tack in place while somewhat assembled in the truck I would set it up for the right pinion angle. If it is a one piece driveshaft you just need to set the angle of the input shaft equal but opposite of the tail shaft on the transmission. You may want to preset it with +1 degree for axle wrap under acceleration.
